The Highland Mist Pipes and Drums are holding a Drum School, every Saturday, from 09:00 to 10:30, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 638, 70 Hines Rd, Kanata.
Instruction in pipe band snare drum, tenor drum rhythm and flourishing, and bass drum is provided at a Novice to Grade 4 level. Students from 8 to 80 are welcome to attend.

Show is 6:30 to 8:30 pm, park's entertainment continues until 11 pm in the beer tent with entertainment from Duncan Gillis and friends. This is also the launch party of the Rideau Canal Festival, and the park will have lots of interesting information on living green and celebrating the heritage of the Rideau Canal. This year's show features The Sons of Scotland, Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band and the St. Patrick's Battalion Pipes and Drums from Mexico City. Dancers from the Katharine Robinson School of Dance join us; they're celebrating their 40th anniversary this year.
