MELLON, John Joseph (Jack), CD Died peacefully at home on 12 Nov 2011 at the age of 82 surrounded by family. Devoted and loving husband of Joan. Father of Michelle (Mike), James (Patricia). Step father of Cathy, Lynda, Wendy (Tim), and Andrina (Jim). Grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of one. Brother of Owen (Carol) and Helen. Predeceased by brothers James, Michael (Jeannine) and sister Maureen (Robert Hughes). Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Kelly Funeral Home, 2370 St Joseph Blvd, Orleans, on Tues 15 Nov 2011 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral at Christ Church Cathedral, 439 Queen St, Ottawa at 1 pm on Wed 16 Nov 2011 (very limited parking). Reception to follow at Church. Interment at Beechwood Military Cemetery at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Coulombe and all care workers who helped in his peaceful passing (CCAC). Jack proudly served in the Canadian Forces, and as Drum Major and drummer for numerous Pipe Bands for 60 years (Ottawa Police, RCMP, Air Command, Lorne Scots, Black Watch, Irish Regiment of Can, Can Forces Europe Pipe Band in Germany). In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice at May Court would be appreciated.
