PDQB Initiative

Over the past several months, the Branch has discussed efforts to leverage the Piping and Drumming Qualifications Board (PDQB) certification structure as one way to encourage teaching and learning in our region.

Based on discussions following our info-session last winter, we are going to proceed with this initiative on a trial basis and start by offering an opportunity for interested piping students to receive certification (approx. SCQF levels 1-4). Bob Worrall will be in Ottawa the weekend of November 30th Knockout for this.

Keep an eye out in the next day or so for a full update and announcement including information on how to express interest, and further details on next steps for the broader initiative.

In the interim, you can read more about the PDQB here.
