Pipe Major George D. Buchanan Memorial Trophy
The P/M George D. Buchanan Memorial Trophy is awarded to the winner of the Senior category. This trophy was donated by Donald Buchanan in memory of his late father, who was a leading member of the Branch in its early days, and a proponent of piobaireachd and its importance for the musical development of pipers.
Results 2025
Congratulations to all the contestants who participated in the Branch’s annual amateur piobreachd contest. Donald Buchanan was with us to present the P/M George D. Buchanan Memorial Trophy, named after his father. Thank you to our judges, Colin MacLellan and Jenny Hazzard as well as our master of ceremonies, Brian Williamson.
