We host competitions for solo pipers, drummers, and pipe bands throughout the year.

Knockout Series

The Ottawa Branch Knockouts have been a staple in the region for decades. The series has multiple divisions for pipers and drummers.

Indoor Highland Games

The biggest Ottawa Branch event of the year. Enjoy solo piping and drumming competitions in the morning, followed by quartet and pipe band competitions in the afternoon.

An array of Scottish merchandise will be on sale through our popular vendors.

Amateur Piobaireachd Contest

Piobaireachd is the classical music of the bagpipe. Since 2018, the Ottawa Branch has held an annual piobaireachd contest for amateur pipers.

Glengarry Cup

The Glengarry Cup is a competition for professional pipers. Each year, professional pipers from Ontario and abroad compete for this trophy, which was donated by the Glengarry Pipe Band

Eastern Ontario Champion Supreme

Since 2006, the PPBSO Ottawa Branch has awarded champion supreme points to amateur solo competitors and bands at various contests in Eastern Ontario.

The final results recognize those pipers, drummers and pipe bands that have had the most overall success during the season at events in our region.

Highland Games in the Region

There are numerous Highland Games in Eastern Ontario and the greater region.

​

These contests are run by various organizers. Many of these events host contests that are eligible for Eastern Ontario Champion Supreme points.
