Each year in September, professional pipers from Ontario and abroad travel to Ottawa to compete in the prestigious Glengarry Cup competition
The day features a Piobaireachd contest followed by an evening March, Strathspey & Reel (MSR) competition, showcasing the highest level of solo piping. Whether you're a dedicated piping enthusiast or simply looking to experience world-class Scottish music, the Glengarry Cup promises an unforgettable day of exceptional performances and competition.

The coveted Glengarry Cup trophy has been awarded since the 1980s, when it was donated by the Glengarry Pipe Band. Past winners include Colin MacLellan, Andrew Hayes, Bruce Gandy, Michael Grey, Rob Crabtree, Andrea Boyd, Matt MacIsaac, and many others.
In 2023, due to increased popularity of the event, a piobaireachd contest was added, which meant that the event was augmented from an evening event to an all-day event. The strathspey and Reel contest was held in the evening, with several guests in attendance. Past judges include Colin MacLellan (Edinburgh, UK), Jim McGillivray (Aurora, ON), Brian Williamson (Ottawa, ON), Michael Grey (Toronto, ON), Jack Lee (Vancouver, BC), and Bruce Gandy (Halifax, NS).
The Glengarry Cup is proudly organized by the PPBSO Ottawa Branch, one of the largest chapters of the Pipers and Pipe Band Society of Ontario.

We extend our sincere thanks to our generous sponsors for making this year's Glengarry Cup possible. Their support is essential to the success of the event, and their commitment to the piping community helps preserve and promote the rich tradition of the art.
We are truly grateful for their partnership.
