On Sunday April 30th at 2 pm, the RCMP Pipes, Drums and Dancers will hold their annual fundraiser, ‘A Capital Celtic Concert’, at Dominion-Chalmers Church, 355 Cooper Street at O’Connor. They will be joined by the Canadian Forces Central Band, the Capital City Chorus, and the MacLeod Fiddlers and Dancers.
This year’s Concert is in support of Veterans House, a local initiative that targets the needs of a rising number of homeless veterans who are ‘living rough’ in Ottawa. There are approximately 2,400 homeless veterans across Canada and it is estimated that 320 are struggling to find their way in the National Capital Region.
