January 6th Knockout
The first Branch event of 2018 will take place on Saturday, January 6th. The evening will feature the B Piping 2/4 March contest and the 40+ Slow Air & 6/8 March contest. Sign up now if you haven’t already!
February 3rd Amateur Piobaireachd Contest
On Saturday, February 3rd we will be holding a new amateur piobaireachd contest!
Where: HMCS Bytown Naval Officers’ Mess – 78 Lisgar St. in downtown Ottawa
Contests
C Piobaireachd (Main Level): 9:30 am approx. – 15 entrants maximum. First come first served. Additional entrants will be waitlisted.
Requirements: 1 ground – own choice
Grade approximation – New piobaireachd players, those with limited Novice competitive experience
B Piobaireachd (Crow’s Nest): 11:00 am approx. – 15 entrants maximum. First come first served. Additional entrants will be waitlisted.
Requirements: 1 full piobaireachd – own choice
Grade approximation – Experienced Novice, Junior Amateur
A Piobaireachd (Main Level): 11:00 am approx. – 15 entrants maximum. First come first served. Additional entrants will be waitlisted.
Requirements: 1 full piobaireachd – own choice
Grade approximation – Intermediate and Senior Amateur
Entry deadline: Thursday, January 25th
Competition start times: All times are subject to change based on entries.
Order of play: Reverse order of entry. Sign up early to secure a later draw!
Cost: $7.00. Piobaireachd contest entrants and attendees get in free for the Knockout contest taking place that evening.
Note: These piobaireachd events will not be counted toward Knockout point standings.
