Glengarry Cup 2026 Results!
On Saturday, September 26, the Ottawa Branch of the Pipers’ and Pipe Band Society of Ontario (PPBSO) proudly hosted the annual Glengarry Cup, a premier solo piping competition that drew top-tier talent this year from across the region, the US, Nova Scotia, and Scotland.

The day began with the Piobaireachd contest in the afternoon, followed by the March, Strathspey, and Reel (MSR) contest in the evening. Andrew Berthoff, John Cairns, and Amy Garson. The events were emceed by Ottawa’s very own Brian Williamson.
Ottawa Branch President Anne Seigmiller reflected on the event’s success, saying:
“We are particularly proud this year to see the event supported by the community, with sponsorships and contributions. Witnessing these performers come to Ottawa again, or for the first time, is truly a pleasure. In addition, the Branch was thrilled to host the Ontario Youth Pipeband.”
Glengarry Cup committee member, Ron Graham, says: “We are privileged to see players of this caliber in the Nation’s capital, year after year.“

The Glengarry Cup has a rich history dating back to the 1980s, when it was first donated by the Glengarry Pipe Band. Over the decades, it has become a coveted prize in the solo piping community. Past winners include some of the most respected names in the piping world: Andrea Boyd, Ed Bush, Rob Crabtree, Bruce Gandy, Michael Grey, Andrew Hayes, Matt MacIsaac, Colin MacLellan, Ian K.
