Irish Music Ottawa presents: Paddy Keenan with Andy Hillhouse – 26 November 2011 – 8PM (Doors 7PM) Irish Music Ottawa is pleased to present the legendary uillean piper Paddy Keenan, on the evening of Saturday 26 November at the First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa, 30 Cleary Ave (about 1 km west of Westboro Village, off Richmond Rd). Paddy Keenan, world renowned master piper in The Bothy Band, has for many years now been on a successful solo career, touring the world over. In 2002 Paddy was the Irish National Traditional Musician, was recently awarded at the 2010 Irish Music Association Awards, and is honoured on an Irish stamp! The accompaniment for is Andy Hillhouse. Andy is a winner of two Canadian Folk Music Awards and a Juno Award for Best Folk/Traditional Group (guitar/vocals). Andy has an amazing breadth of musical knowledge and is a perfect fit for playing with the world traveller Paddy Keenan.

Many people who attended Paddy’s last Ottawa show in 2008 have since expressed that it was the highlight of their Irish music year. A fantastic show of masterful playing, humour, and song. Really, you won’t want to miss this concert.
