The Ottawa Branch is extremely pleased to welcome Terry Tully and Stephen Creighton of the 2010 World Pipe Band Champions St. Laurence O’Toole Pipe Band from Ireland to the Branch Knockout Finals on March 7, 2015.
Terry and Stephen will conduct piping and drumming workshops during the day. The morning workshops will be aimed at beginner to intermediate levels, with the afternoon sessions for more advanced players. The fee for the workshops is $25/person per half day. In the evening, the Branch Knockout finals will take place, with Terry and Stephen judging the events in all divisions. The competitors will be those who have scored the highest point total in previous events this season. The finalists will be contacted shortly to confirm their participation and to provide tune selections. A number of donations have been provided graciously by piping and drumming suppliers, which is sure to add to the excitement.
We will also hold our second annual Professional Solo side drumming event, showcasing top flight drummers from the Ottawa area and beyond. For details and registration, please click [here].
Following the competitions, Terry and Stephen will treat those in attendance to a recital, which will serve as a fitting end to another successful Knockout series.
