It is with much sadness that the PPBSO Ottawa Branch extends heartfelt condolences to the Coghill family with the passing of John Robert “Jack” Coghill Sr.
Jack Coghill Sr. was a formidable piping tour de force in the Ottawa area over the decades, helping establish and build the foundation for today’s vibrant and strong piping and drumming community in Eastern Ontario.

Jack Coghill Sr. was a major influence on piping and drumming in the region. He served as the second President of the PPBSO Ottawa Branch, Pipe Major of the Cameron Highlanders, teacher, and volunteer.
